Million Dollar Dames share personal finance information

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – People are never too old or too young to pick up something new when it comes to personal finance.

That’s what President of the Million Dollar Dames Beverly Wooley said Thursday night before kicking off their yearly Save to Invest class.

The investment club partnered with the Lawton Public Library to host this free seminar to round out Financial Literacy Month.

Among the topics discussed during the class were budgeting, controlling high interest debt, setting financial goals and the Million Dollar Dames also gave out some investing ideas.

”It’s important to get out and tell people about what’s going on in the financial world,” Wooley said. “It’s to promote the financial well being of consumers and improve financial literacy of the youth.”

This group started in 1993 and has been holding this seminar every April for the last several years.

Wooley said they look forward to continuing this to help people have financial peace.
